Department of State Trafficking in Persons Report

The Department of State releases the Trafficking in Persons Report (TIP Report) annually in order to empower governments to reduce trafficking by prosecuting the perpetrators and assisting the victims. In addition, intergovernmental and nongovernmental organizations use the information in the report to pressure governments to address the issue of human trafficking.
