The Cline Center for Democracy at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign created the Historical Index of Ethnic Fractionalization Dataset. The Cline Center for Democracy started the Composition of Religious and Ethnic Groups project in order to collect the data necessary to produce the Historical Index of Ethnic Fractionalization.
