How can we use Natural data?

It is often said that “geography is destiny”. The environment has a profound effect on why things are the way they are, influencing everything from agricultural output, lifestyle and culture, connectivity, and war and conquest. Natural indicators highlight the factors that make a country what it is today. These indicators focus on the natural and built environment, highlighting specific natural barriers to the Gospel and human flourishing, as well as countries that have benefited and flourished as a result of their natural setting and built infrastructure.

This group of indicators will appeal most to those interested in history, agriculture, environmental impact, and engineers with a desire to contribute to human flourishing through building infrastructure and connectivity. These categories give context for the realities certain countries experience today. Use this filter to help better understand why things are the way they are.
